Custom Lecture & Trunk Show
The Creative Process...

Dare to be different!  While showing a large selection of quilts from Karen's trunk, she will share thoughts about the creative process of free motion quilting.  Cotton thread and weight choices, impact of types and layers of batting, motif selection & simple embellishments.  To close, Karen will draw and share some thoughts about "A Quilters Doodles" AND her very favorite fast feather filler.

Arc Rulers -- Oh the Places You'll Go!

Quilting design options are endless with simple arc rulers/templates.  We'll talk basic setup and handling of rulers (applicable to any machine) and learn fun arc designs that incorporate continuous stitching paths and fit into a variety of blocks.  Diamonds, curved cross-hatching, swags, cathedrals and a bit of straight line finishes too!  To close, we can fold in a discussion of secondary designs -- working outside of the block.

You'll want to run back to your machine and get started!
